As a maker I seek new and alternative platforms, partnerships and
methodologies. Past choreographies and commissions have
pioneered interactive digital technology, explored audience
participation and been influenced by gaming, war/dictatorship
and the photography of Francesca Woodman. These works have
been presented at traditional + site-specific events and festivals,
engaging a diversity of talented artists, dancers, directors,
programmers, musicians and film-makers. Previous choreographies
include projects with: Roxana Pope-Vilk, Ghazi Hussein, Dee Isaacs,
Hoda Productions, Sacha Kyle, Theatre Workshop, Dance Base,
Scottish Ballet.
As Dance Artist in Residence with Imaginate/North Edinburgh Arts/
Dance Base 2011-2013, my work developed a youth focus. I had
opportunities to develop practice with artists in a European context,
including as a participant choreographer at Fresh Tracks Europe,
Tanzhaus Dusseldorf NRW.
Dance Game is an all-ages, participatory performance inspired by
gaming. Commissioned whilst I was Dance Artist in Residence,
the work was presented at North Edinburgh Arts and Forthview
Primary 2013.
