PITCH is a realisation: “How are we living our lives?”
One woman stands on a box and attempts to change the world.
The act of selling an idea, selling herself.
Beneath the façade: What remains?
However ridiculous something serious has to happen.
PITCH is an Action.
An act of courage. An act of hope.
How to be a woman, how to change the world, how to take a stance?
Made in collaboration with artist Jo Fong PITCH exposes a personal and shared story of recognising and becoming, avoiding and taking action.
PITCH premiered with a sell-out run at Edinburgh Festival 2016, Dance Base.
The work has performed at DanceLive Festival Aberdeen, Volcano Theatre Swansea, Dance House Cardiff and Dance International Glasgow Tramway.
We have raised £250 for Girls Fund/Plan UK and Help Refugees.
“…a tremendously intelligent, brilliantly wry piece of performance.” Tim Bano, Festmag
“We get a pocket life story, we see the body dance… It’s a demonstration of how one can live as an artist and have an impact.” Lisa Wolfe, Total Theatre
“a thrilling, mesmeric performance… with its radical questioning of what the content of a show should be, or even whether ‘performance’ should be discarded in favour of ‘real life’.” Mark Harding, The Skinny 2016
“Reynolds is ready to put herself on the line…witty, engagingly funny, a real-live wire in action: the gritty, discomfiting thinking creeps up on us later.” Mary Brenann, Dance/Performance critic for The Herald
